More holiday destinations from Schiphol

From early April, tourists who use Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport, will be able to take advantage of 10 new routes being offered by the airline.

The move comes following the airport's impressive performance for 2007. Schiphol handled over 47 million travelers, making it the fifth-largest airport in the EU.

The new routes include a number of European hubs including Linkoping, Montpellier and Krakow. KLM will also fly to Panama three times a week.

Also included are a number of new intercontinental flights including a KLM service to Dallas, and a Northwest Airlines connection to Oregon.

We will have to wait and see how well the airport handles the extra traffic, but early indications are that everything is working well.
