Americans turned away from dollar deals in

Amsterdam currency exchanges are turning away Americans who want to convert dollars to euros while on holiday.

The value of the US dollar is falling so fast that currency exchange outlets don't want to trade in bills that may lose their value overnight.

With the US dollar hovering at a near record low against the euro the US banknotes could be worth less by the time currency exchange outlets get a chance to trade them in - even allowing for commission and special deals that make it easier for them to trade small amounts without paying high charges.
