No ICE express trains to Amsterdam
Following a derailment of an ICE train near Cologne, all services have been suspended between Amsterdam and Frankfurt. The closure is expect to last up to a week with up to 30,000 passengers being disrupted.
ICE officials are painstakingly checking the entire track and this process cannot be rushed. As an alternative measure, the Dutch company NS will provide alternative transport over the next few days but company officials still advised passengers to avoid the route.
