Eurostar high speed trains may link to Amsterdam
Eurostar may expand its high speed services from London to the Netherlands and to Germany. Eurostar will next year examine the possibility of running direct services to Amsterdam, Cologne and other cities.
Eurostar has staretd operating trains to Paris and Brussels on the new 186 mph high speed line from St Pancras to the Channel Tunnel after switching from its former London terminus at Waterloo station. The move has cut journey times to Paris and Brussels by 20min
Eurostar is now considering running to Amsterdam on the new Dutch and Belgian high-speed line from Antwerp, although Eurostar trains will need technical modifications to deal with the different systems.
