Amsterdam Arena about to get smarter
Amsterdam ArenA, the multipurpose sporting and entertainment centre and home to the AFC Ajax football club is about to get smarter
. Officials are to introduce new technology to enable its 2m annual visitors to book seats from home, access real time travel and parking information and improved event services such as unified communications, video delivery and wireless services.
They are likely to be introduced over the next two years with the first services in operation by 2008. Services will include customers being able to book seatsby mobile phone, digitally controlled entry and parking systems and multi media networking for corporate clients.
Under consideration are plans to send real time information to car sat nav systems and mobile phones on the best routes to the stadium and where best to park.
