Last chance to tiptoe through the tulips
If you were planning a trip to the famous Keukenhof, the world's largest bulb field near Leiden (just 30 minutes by train from Amsterdam), Sunday 18th May is your last chance this year as the flowering season is coming to an end.
There are 7 million, give or take, tulips and other bulbs at Keukenhof and it attracts three quarters of a million gardening enthusiasts each year. It's one of the most popular day trips out of Amsterdam in the Spring. You can check out the details of each year's attractions on their website. But, for this year, unless you can make it this weekend, it's another year before you can tiptoe through the tulips.
