Stiletto race around streets of Amsterdam

Women donned their best stilettos for a prize winning race round Amsterdam. About 150 women took part int he dash for cash on PC Hooft St.

They joined Amsterdam's 'Stiletto Run', in a bid to win a10,000 euros top cash prize. The annual race is now in its third year and gets more popular each time.

The race has now been copies at cities in Germany, Sweden, Poland and Russia. The race's motto is "Shopping is a Sport" and although friendly competition is encouraged the participants are known to get pretty aggressive. in stilettos with heels of no less than three and a half inches.
