Amsterdam boat show best ever
This year's HISWA Amsterdam Seaport Boat Show to be held from September 2 to 7, 2008, in the Marina Seaport IJmuiden, will offer more to visitors than ever before.
Organisers promise an enormous diversity of 500 exhibited boats and the comprehensive coverage of all major brands.
As the first autumn boat show of the year, the exhibition will also feature dozens of premiers, making this one of the best boat shows in Europe.
And the 1008 event will celebrate its 25th anniversary with an invite-only preview evening on September 1.
Every type of yachting pleasure is covered at the HISWA Amsterdam Seaport Boat Show with the latest models. Modern and classic boats, sporty and luxury sailing yachts, steel motor cruisers and high-speed sports boats will be moored at the quays.
Flag waving on the quays, the atmospheric stands on the promenade and the healthy sea air provide the HISWA Amsterdam Seaport Boat Show with a genuine holiday feel with facilities and activities that include a floating champagne bar, restaurant on the pier with its panoramic terrace, free clinics on a sailing yacht, sailing on super speedy RIBs or fast sailing racers, and - on weekdays - free blokarting on the beach.
There is a free shuttle service for visitors from abroad. A comfortable journey to the boat show is available with the fast flying ferry, which departs from behind Amsterdam Central Station. During the exhibition the province of North Holland will arrange free shuttle buses from the Pontplein square in IJmuiden.
