Amsterdam is the best place to live

It may be a Dutch survey, but according to the Dutch Municipality Atlas, Amsterdam is the best place to live in the Netherlands. The 2008 version of the statistics journal found that Amsterdam did well in all the categories used for judging.

Atrecht and Haarlem for voted the most attractive places to live, whilst Masstricht had the best restaurants.

At the other end of the scale, people in Heerlen seemed fairly unimpressed with their surroundings, and Rotterdam had the highest number of people living off benefits.
