The news that Spanish store Zara has just toppled the US-owned Gap from top spot amongst world retailers means there's yet another good reason to visit Barcelona, home to a mighty ten Zara stores in the city. Avinguda Diagonal alone can boast four Zara stores at numbers 3, 208, 545 and 582.
Zara first opened in the Spanish north western city of La Coruna over thirty years ago. Since then, the brand has gained a reputation for bringing quality affordable clothes to shoppers at amazing speed.
