Amsterdam tourists were treated to camels, zebras and pot bellied pigs wandering the city break hotspots when they escaped from a visiting circus.
Dutch police had to round up a number of animals after a giraffe released them by kicking a hole in their cage.
It’s thought 15 camels, two zebras, several llamas and a potbellied pig were set free on the streets of Amsterdam.
The animals wandered around the neighbourhood for several hours following the early morning escape. They were eventually rounded up by police and circus workers with the help of dogs.
A police spokesman said nobody was hurt because all the animals were tame and even allowed locals to feed them.
