Rail Europe has a range of special offers on French Motorail services to Brive, Toulouse, Narbonne, Avignon, Frejus/St Raphael and Nice in the south of France. With fuel prices getting ever more expensive, and the French holiday season well underway leading to jam packed roads, these may be tempting offers for long-distance travellers.
During August 2008, their special offer fares start at £250 for a one-way journey for a car and up to six passengers. It means you can load your car onto the train in Calais and travel overnight to the south of France, with a guaranteed private couchette compartment.
