Make money in the Riviera property market
The exclusive French Riviera around Nice is becoming an even hotter spot for property developers. The prestige of owning property in the playground of the rich and famous and the limited number of plots coming onto the market means you have to be super rich to think of buying even a small flat
Among the famous property owners in the area are Aussie newspaper tycoon James Packer, Elton John and Kylie Minogue. They may have shelled out millions for their pads but the move has been a good investment as house prices have risen year on year - around 15 per cent in the last three years alone.
Estate agents dub the market "really strong". It is foreign investors that are pushing up prices and the most popular three-bed hoome will set you back £500,000. Richer buyers head for places like St Tropez.
