Riga hotel in Small Luxury Hotels group

Riga now has a representative hotel in the prestige 'Small Luxury Hotels of the World' (SLH) group with the news that the Hotel Bergs is joining the elite group.

The hotel's operators say that the move could well boost occupancy from last year's 72% to around 80%. Unlike many global chains, SLH hotels retain their own character. There are around 440 hotels in the group in over 70 countries. In the Baltics, there are two Estonian hotels in the chain but none as yet in Lithuania.

Hotel Bergs opened in 2002. It unites two historical buildings and has 38 rooms, each designed individually. It has a five star rating, one of just six in Latvia with five stars.
