New buses for Riga city centre
Trolleybuses are the way to go in Riga as the first of 150 low-floor vehicles arrive in the city. The first three have been delivered by Skoda Electric with 30 more dur this year and the remainder arriving up to 2011.
The new trolleybuses have air-conditioners and will be the first ordered since 1995 to repace the ageing fleet. The company will also supply 80 trolleybuses to Czech and Slovak towns this year and 130 next year. Trolleybuses are to make up over 40 percent of Skoda Electric's sales this year say company bosses.
