Latvia holiday jazz festival in full swing
Riga organisers are celebrating the end of one of the greatest jazz festivals in Latvia. In one of the biggest days of the festival today April 25, is billed as "outstanding" with Russian saxophonist Igor Butman performing along with his Big Band.
Butman will head up a massive outdoor show at Rose Square.
Liepaja’s “Aile Inter-national Jazz Festival” opened on April 11 and closees with a string of shows by Baltic artists on Saturday.
Bands from Russia, the United States, Sweden, Poland and the Baltic states are attending the festival. This year’s festival clashed with another major Jazz festival in Estonia with many artists switching venues to play both shows.
