Irish pair arrested for flashing

The many stag party Brits traveling to the Latvian capital in recent years are beginning to cause inevitable problems. The many extra tourists may buy hundreds of rounds of drinks and help to make Riga the party capital of Europe, but Latvians will only be pushed so far, as a couple of lads from Ireland discovered today.

A 22 year old man was arrested for exposing himself to a 26 year old photographer who was also arrested. The incident took place whilst the pair were passing the city's Freedom Monument, a popular haunt for such pranks. The 22 year old was certainly a little tipsy, but the older of the two men hadn't apparently consumed any alcohol.

As the drunken behavior took place in public, police have classed it as an act of delinquency and opened a criminal case against the pair. The court will soon decide how much to fine them, but similar incidents have resulted in a fine of around LVL 50.
