Venice for wheelchair users
Stumbling around Venice getting lost for the first time is a completely wonderful experience. When you first step off the water taxi, the maze of little streets and bridges is a delight and makes you want to wander around for hours.
However, if you’re wheelchair bound, the experience can be much less rewarding. Pat Broderick who has successfully navigated her way around South America and Egypt, always knew that Venice would be a challenge, but a fascinating article in the Toronto Star this week has uncovered some very poor and surprisingly good experiences for disabled tourists.
