Hollywood stars in Venice for Festival

The Venice Film Festival is now underway with two of the world's biggest stars, George Clooney and Brad Pitt, in the city to promote Burn After Reading, the latest black comedy from the Coen Brothers, Joel and Ethan, which will be shown at the festival later.

The 65th Venice Film Festival also saw George Clooney and Brad Pitt hosting a charity dinner in aid of their 'Not On Our Watch' initiative to raise money for victims of natural and other disasters.

Other stars in town include Mickey Rourke, who is appearing in The Wrestler, and Kim Bassinger, starring in The Burning Plain. Given their 1986 roles together in the erotic sadomasochistic film 9½ Weeks, the media will be hoping for photo opportunities if those two bump into each other.
