Madonna outfaced lion in Venice Italy
Not only did she dance in a gondola without falling overboard but megastar Madonna also managed to outface a lion in Venice, Italy in her 1984 video shoot of "Like a Virgin."
The lion was brought in from a circus and midway through one take, the lion began stalking Madonna. As video crew members ran for safety Madonna stood her ground. The crew watched in horror the big cat padded slowly toward her. The lion took a long look at Madonna, then backed off.
About to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, along with Leonard Cohen, the Dave Clark Five, John Mellencamp and the Ventures, Madonna, who turns 50 in August, is still going strong.
She has a recording and touring deal worth $120 million and last month, her movie "Filth and Wisdom" premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival. Her new album, "Hard Candy," is due out in April.
